The next generation 3D-enabled mobile devices by LG

LG Mobile is focusing on addressing three main barriers to the consumer adoption of 3D: accessibility, technology and content.

1 - Accessibility: Many consumers view 3D devices as being too expensive. LG wants to competitively price the LG Thrill 4G to make it more accessible.

2 - Technology: No need for the use of 3D glasses with the LG Thrill 4G and LG enhances smartphone features with the tri-dual configuration technology, including a 1GHz dual-core processor with dual-channels and dual memory, for better performance and speed.

3 - Content: LG Mobile has partnered with YouTube and Gameloft to allow users to create and share their own 3D content on YouTube via the Thrill's "3D Space" user interface. Users will also be able to enjoy 3D games that will be preloaded on the phone as well.

Additional features of the LG Thrill 4G include a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, dual 5MP stereoscopic 3D cameras and included microSD card, allowing users to capture clear 3D images and view 720p HD 3D video playback.

"3D-enabled mobile devices will be the next step in the natural evolution of entertainment technology, and breaking accessibility, technology and content barriers will be crucial in helping make sure all consumers have access to this next generation entertainment platform," O'Brien said.
